Dear Pre K families,

This week we will conclude our last week of our 'Animals Everywhere' theme.  This week we will be concentrating on animal babies.  We will also talk about sorting and classifying animals and other objects.  Our alpha friend will be Zelda Zebra Zz.  On Tuesday, we will celebrate Valentine's Day with a special snack.  Thank you to all who have signed up to provide items towards it.  Please remember that if your child wishes to share valentines with their friends, please have them only write their name in the from: section, and leave the to: section blank.  This is great name writing practice.  On Wednesday, we will celebrate February Birthdays. 

At the end of the week, please take home your child's supply box.  We would appreciate if over the vacation break  you could please check over their supplies as many of them are running low.  Please remember that all their supplies should fit easily in their box.  Some boxes are a bit small and it makes it difficult for them to get to the table with all their supplies intact.  Friday will be that last day before our week off.  There will not be classes the entire week of February 20th. 

When we come back to school on February 20th, we will begin our Construction zone theme.  We will be doing show and tell and I will post a show and tell calendar when we get back.  The show and tell theme will be 'Something you make'.  This could be a project, a craft, a picture or anything you can think of as long as it is made by your child.  This is a fun project to get creative and share some time together with your student.  (Parental help is ok)

Also when we return, we will be starting the season of Lent.  Lent will begin on Ash Wednesday. We will be attending Ash Wednesday mass in the school auditorium at 8:15 on March 1st.
