Dear Pre-K Parents,
Welcome back! I hope you and your family had a blessed Christmas. Happy New Year! May God bless us with a healthy new year as we put our faith in trusting that God has a plan for 2021. Thank you all so much for your kindness and generosity. I am truly blessed to have such wonderful families. I hope the new year finds your families in good health. Please remember that if your child is not feeling well, it is a better choice to keep them at home. As we jump right into the new year, we are starting off with three weeks of our theme, Seasons All Around. This is a very fun theme as we explore the 4 seasons with an emphasis on winter and weather. It is a fun time to explore ice, snow, thermometers, and hibernation. In handwriting, we will be working on curvy lines: Uu, Ss, Qq and Cc. In religion, we will explore the 2 greatest commandments: love God with all our hearts and loving others. Our class will also be focusing on beginning sounds and blending sounds to make words. In our social emotional curriculum, we will learn about managing our emotions. The 4th week, we will celebrate Catholic Schools’ Week and finish up our winter theme. Looking ahead, we will be closed on Monday, January 18th to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. In February, we will be off the week of February 15th for President’s day and winter break. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at [email protected] Thank you Mrs. Veronica
