Dear Pre-K families,
Happy New Year!! Welcome back. I hope you and your families had a blessed Christmas holiday, Mrs. Hermosillo and I would like to thank you all for your kindness and generosity. We hope everyone is feeling well this year, as we had a lot of children out in December with sickness. Please remember that if your child has fever or has vomited they need to stay home for 24 hours before returning to school. We are officially half way through our school year and ready to jump right in. We will start back with our new theme Awesome Animals. Our letter of the week is Jj. We will be learning about all kinds of animals. Our dramatic play area has been turned into a Pet Vet Clinic and we will be making animal homes in our block area. If you have a pet at home and would like to send in a picture of your pet, we will make a collage of our family pets for our class. January is a very busy month. The school will start off with memorial Mass for Deacon Joe who passed away in December. Preschool will not attend as sometimes it can be difficult for some to separate in the morning the first day back from a long vacation. Friday, January 11th will be Pajama Day at OLM. Children that attend that day are allowed to wear pajamas with appropriate school shoes(no slippers please). Monday, January 21st, school will be closed to observe the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. January 26th will be the school Auction fundraiser. If you are interested in attending, please contact the office to secure tickets before it sells out. A letter will be coming home with more information on the preschool donation request of $10 per family, Please remember that if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. I am usually in the class by 7:15am or you can email me at [email protected]. I am always happy to work together with any concerns that may come up! Thank you, Mrs. Veronica
