Dear Pre-K Families,
Thank you to all that were able to meet with me during parent teacher conferences. It was very nice to be able to sit down with you. This week we do not have a new alpha friend. We are concluding our theme, My family, my Community. We will use this week for review and we will be reviewing all the alpha friends that we have learned. We will also be getting ready for Halloween and will be doing some fun Halloween activities in the class. This Saturday, OLM will have it's annual Halloween Carnival. This is a great family event and all are welcome. If you have not already purchased your wrist band, they are still available for $10.00. The carnival committee has requested that each family please donate $2.00 and two bags of wrapped candy. There are many sign ups in the classroom. Please see the area around the sign in sheet. -We need volunteers to work at our cake walk booth -We need volunteer bakers to donate cakes or baked goods On Monday, October 31st (Halloween day) we will have a special Halloween treat in our classroom as well as a special pumpkin patch in our play yard so the children will be able to select their own pumpkin. If you would like to volunteer in the classroom that day, please let me know. (volunteers must be safe environment trained and fingerprinted) There is also a sign up sheet on the wall for our special snack. Thank you to those who have already signed up. We are still in need of a few things, Salami, Tillamock cheddar cheese slices and marshmallow Halloween ghosts. We will also be making treat bags in our classroom if you are interested in sending in a small treat for your child's classmates. We have 29 Students. Please remember that preschool students do not dress up in costumes on Halloween day at school. *Classroom request- We will be in need of brown paper grocery bags. If you have any at home and would like to share, please bring them in. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica and Mrs. Romero
