Seasons All Around

Dear Families,

We have been having a lot of fun with our current theme, 'Seasons all around'.  We have been learning about the 4 seasons and talking about how the seasons change throughout the year.  Last week we learned about Yetta Yo Yo Yy.  This week our alpha friend is Willie Worm Ww.  We have been exploring Ice and water and currently have turned our play house into a 'Beach'.  The children have also been learning about thermometers and how they measure hot and cold.  We have really been concentrating on our names and I have been working with the children one on one as we have been making snowman names for our snowman math graph wall.  We will have one more week of this theme. 

With all the weather changes, please remember to send in a warm coat.  On non rainy days, we try to get outside.  On rainy days, we are doing our best to keep them moving inside with fun activities.  We have also been doing health checks on a daily basis.  Please refer to the school illness policy; children that have had fever or thrown up with in the past 24 hours should remain at home. 

Our School Auction which is the biggest fundraiser of the year will take place on Saturday, January 28th.  This will be a fun event with a 50's theme.  We hope to see you there.
