Dear Pre-K Families,
I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the extra family time. This week, we begin week 2 of our My Family theme. We will focus on Taking Care of Each Other as we read books about being a helper and working together within our families. We will continue learning about straight lines as we write lines in shapes. In math, we will measure lengths with snap cubes. In science, we will learn about healthy foods with everyday foods vs sometimes foods. We will also continue learning about syllables. In our social emotional curriculum, we will learn about following directions. Thank you to all that were able to send in clorox wipes last week; we really appreciate it. As you are out and about, please think of us if you see lysol spray for down the road. We are doing our best to keep things as clean as possible. Thank you to those who turned in the blue asq folder and the All About Me page. If you have not had a chance to turn them in please bring them in as soon as you are able to complete them. We are doing show and tell with their page, and they have an opportunity to stand in front of the class and talk about their page before I put our class book together. Also, please try to arrive before 8am so that your child has enough time to practice writing their name when we sign in. In an effort to keep the air circulating in the classroom, I am running a few fans. It is also sometimes a bit chilly in the morning when we go outside for story and music/movement. Please send a light sweater with your child in the morning. We will be celebrating Mother Mary’s birthday on Tuesday with a special snack. Birthday celebrations for the month of September will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 30th. All children that have birthdays in the month of September will be celebrated that day. I will put up a special snack request list later in the month. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at [email protected].
