Day 1

  Hello Parents,

I see most of you were able to make it onto google classroom for our first day of online school.  If not, try to get on as soon as possible.  As you know, your students came home with several handouts and workbooks.  I know it looks like a lot, but if you go onto Google Classroom under classwork, you will find instructions and everything organzed by day telling you which handouts and online components to complete.  For the math packets, I sent home everything for two chapters worth.  I am not assigning all of the pages.  I am assigning some of the pages with supplemental activities from Google Classroom.

I know a lot of you are still learning on how to submit work online.  All of the work I posted needs to be completed, as it is all foundational lessons.  However, I do know that it is a lot of work to ask you to upload everything the first week.  For this week, please focus on uploading reading and math.  If you have a good grasp on it, go ahead and upload the word work and writing lessons.  By next week, hopefully we will be more adjusted and be able to submit all the work without a problem.  I also extended the due dates for the assignments for Sunday, March 22nd to give everyone extra time to become accustomed to using google classroom.

I also emailed all of you the links for prodigy.  I have an assignment there that starts on Wednesday.  If you did not recieve an email for any reason or have any questions, please do not heistate to email.  

The other websites I have listed in previous blog posts are supplemental.  I do want to use IXL more next week, but for this week, focus on Google Classroom and Prodigy.
