This week in class:
Phonics- "sh" sound at the beginning/ ending of words. Students will also learn how to spell their memory words.
Reading- "Ettabetta's Patch"/ "The Patch-it-up Shop"/ "Fix It"; Students will identify story elements and problem/ solution in a story
LA/ Writing- Writing process/ narrative writing
Math- Number Bonds; Greater,less than, and equal to symbols
Religion- We Gather to Celebrate Mass/ The Bible
Social Studies- American Symbols/ Const. Week
Science- 5 Senses
**Remember, students should be choosing an item from their spelling menu every night (Monday-Wednesday), resulting in 3 items completed and turned in as part of their homework. Thursday can be used as a night to study for the test on Friday. The spelling menu should remain in students' homework folder or in a safe place at home, so that you may refer to it on a weekly basis. If you need an additional copy, please send me an email so I can send another one home with your child.

Spelling words: wish, rush, brush, fish, I, he, she, her, his, & my
