This week is STAR testing. Grades 1-5 will be testing with me in the lab during their normal computers times this week and next for their STAR Math and STAR Reading tests.
Grade 6: We will learn how to get into Google Classroom. How to turn in your homework assignments for this week. Grade 8: You will be working on your final draft for your Science Career essays for Mrs. Keeler in class with me this week. Grade 5:
We will be finishing testing this week with your Math STAR Tests. Grade 6: We will be finishing up your Third Body Paragraph and beginning your Conclusion paragraph for your MLA formatted essay assignment. Grade 7: You will be continuing work on your group assignment. Requirements listed below. Create a Food Stand. You will need create: 1. A logo for your good stand with your group using wordart and Images and or google drawing. 2. a 8.5" x 11" grand opening sign - telling me when were and any special offers you are giving on opening day. 3. A sheet of coupons or food tickets - using the create table tool in google Docs 4. a Bi-fold menu of what foods will be offered at your food stand. 5. a numbered list of things that your food stand will need. (examples: foods, condiments, cooking tools, etc.) 6. Crate a graph showing three days of possible sales for the items on your menu 7. Create an introduction letter for a potential donor explaining why you chose this type of food stand and a little about yourself and what you hope to accomplish with this food stand. This must be done with your group. The Logos must be identical as well as the items on your menu. Grade 8: We will be taking your STAR Math test in class today as well as finishing up on those students that have not given your speech powerpoint in class yet. Grade 5:
We will be continuing in Typing.com with lessons. We will be focusing on Intermediate lesson 5 for Shift and Capitalization. Grade 6: No class this week due to mass and Mrs. Wenburg being observed. Grade 7: You will be working on your magazine articles today. No homework this week Grade 8: This is the last week for you to work on Speech power points in class. We will start presenting your speeches next week. Your homework for me this week is completing your power points. Requirements are listed below. Speech Power Points: 1. No less than 5 slides: 1 title slide and 4 info slides. 2. On the title slide I want, the title of the speech, the original speaker, and the presenters name only. 3. Informational slides should have no less than 5 images per slide 4. All slides must be fully animated with slide animation as well as transition animation. 5. You must have a physical copy of your speech that will be turned in at the completion of your presentation as part of your grade. Grade 5:
We are taking a typing speed test this week so I can assess your abilities. Grade 6: We are going to continue with your Charles Darwin MLA formatted essay creation. You need to turn in your Graphing Practice we did before the break if you have not turned it in and you will have 1 homework assignment for me this week on creating a graph in Google Docs Grade 7: You Will be continuing with your Magazine articles. You do have 1 homework assignment for me and that is to create a graph in Google Docs. You also have until Friday to turn in the Graphing Practice lesson we did in class. Grade 8: We are going to finish our lesson on how to graph using Google Docs and Sheets. You will turn in the Google Doc we have been doing this on after the lesson. And your homework for me is creating a graph using Google Docs. Grade 5:

You will be working on the Lessons 9-10 if they are not done in class they are homework. Grade 6 - We will be continuing the outlining of the Charles Darwin Wikipedia Page. Check the announcements in classroom to see what you need to complete for homework. Grade 7 - Your intros have been returned to you this week you are going to copy and past the rest of your essay to your intro and turn in a hard copy as well as turning it into classroom as well. Grade 8 - Your homework this week is your power points on your saints they need to be done by Friday. Mrs. Keeler would like you to use them as your Saint Classroom presentation. Grade 5:

You will be working on lesson 5 this week. If you do not complete lesson 5 in class it is homework and due before next class. Grad 6: We will be finishing up the last week of working on the Web Search / Work Citing worksheet in class with Wednesdays class this week. Both Tuesday and Wednesday's classes this worksheet is due to me by Friday Oct 19th completed. We will also beginning working on how to create a work cited sheet from the work citing we put into our worksheet that will be due next week. You have typing speed test due to me by Thursday. Grade 7: We will be working this week on your intro paragraphs for your biographical essay. That will be due to me by Friday Oct 19th. You will also have a typing speed test due to me by Thursday. Grade 8: We will either be learning more about Google Slides this week or if your homeroom teachers needs you will be working on your Saint Reports in Computers this week. You will have a typing speed test due to me by Thursday. No homework Mr. Dimsey is at 6th Grade Camp with the 6th Graders teaching outdoor education.
