This is going to be a new and different way of learning.  I will post the assignments---and add to it with web sites and other activities you may work on.
UPDATE:  Parents--I have just been informed I need to take roll every day---please email me every day so I can keep track of students---thank you

Parents:  The students have their research outline, notecards, and introduction to begin writing their report.  I know you will want to help----but their paper needs to be their own.  I have gone over how it works.  Start with the introduction.  Each Roman Numeral on their outline is a new paragraph.  They should have their notecards in order of their outline.  They need to then weave all the notecards within that category into complete, cohesive sentences.  They end with a conclusion, which I have also reviewed with them.  I have also sent home a sample of how it should look when typed.  I NEED the written copy turned in, along with their notecards and internet information----so do not throw away.
They have a lot of time to work on this, so I don't want them stressing over it.

I will give you the week---and it can be done over the week---by Friday.  I will update and add to it.  No stressing.

Religion:
Make/write cards to the people at either Hampshire or Park Merced.  Remember---they cannot have any visitors and might enjoy a happy card and note.  Tell them what school and grade and something fun to help make them smile.  Address it to Guest

Math:
IXL:  go with what it recommended for now.  I will be adding to this--new--everyone needs to use IXL for at least 20-30 minutes each day--this way I can track your attendance

English:  I am listing assignments by the day I have in lesson plan book---you may do them anytime during the week
Adjectives:  Mon:  p. 222, 223  Really review pg 222----then do page 223--follow directions!
An adjective tells what kind and how many.  You need to know what a noun is to find the adjective---hopefully you haven't forgotten nouns.  The directions on pg. 223 say you DO have to write the sentence.  Underline the adjective--and draw an arrow to the noun it describes.  Look at the example.
Tues:  p. 224, 225.  Review p. 224---then do page 225.  Read pg. 224 for understanding.  Look at the blue box on pg. 224 for examples.  Page 225 just says to write the correct word.
Thurs:  pg. 226, 227  Review p. 226---then do page 227.  Check out pg. 226 for understanding.  The green box gives examples.  Do page 227.  Directions say only to write the correct form of adjective.
Fri:  p. 228, 229.  Review pg. 228--check out orange box.  Then do page 229---only write the correct form of word.

Reading:  Mon:  page 478, 479  Really check out the vocabulary for understanding.  You may need to use your dictionary.
page 480, 481   Read the Target skill---authors purpose, and pg. 481  Visual Arts.
As you begin the story, monitor (or pay attention) to text details.  Ask yourself---Who are the main characters?  What events are occurring?  Where does the story take place?
You can Clarify something (or make clear) by reading slowly and rereading passages as necessary for greater understanding of characters and events.
Tues:  read pg. 482-493  Read GENRE:  realistic fiction
Look at the essential question  Dont forget to read anything inside special boxes within story.  Pg. 485:  Voice.  Pg. 492  Author's purpose.
Wed: Reread story:   Questions will be forthcoming.

Research:  on-going

Soc St:  Week 28
read/underline ---look at think and review questions before reading.  Then as you read, underline the answers.  Do the Think and Review by Fri.

Science:   Tues:  read B112, 113
read B116-121.  Look at the questions in bold print.  Are you able to answer them?
Wed:  Questions 1-5 on page B121
Thurs:  Outline lesson---We've outlined before so you should be able to do it.  Remember--- only what you think are the important points---and no complete sentences.  Use the questions in bold to help you.  The questions should help, and the summary.  Vocabulary is important.

Take it slow---do what you can---remember---you have until Fri
