Good morning!!
We just had our first Zoom meeting...it was a learning experience for me. The meeting ended abruptly because I hit the wrong button. I am still learning how to use Zoom, I appreciate your patience. All information regarding our future zoom meetings will be posted on my blog Sunday evening. All work from this week is due Sunday, March 29th at 8:00pm. Please remember during the school week to check my blog at twice a day (I often have updates throughout the day). Have a safe and relaxing weekend!!

Today's assignment was in the math textbook; tomorrow's assignment is in the work book. For those of you who do not have a textbook, I believe there is a way that you can access the text book via Math in Focus website. I am waiting to her back from Mr. Dimpsey. Sorry about the confusion! I will keep you all updated ASAP!! Hello,
I hope everybody had a safe, and relaxing weekend. This week there will be some changes in regards to how work will be turned in moving forward. Upon learning last week that we will be out of school for an undetermined amount of time I had to adjust my initial plan of turning in assignments. As far as I can tell this is the easiest way to turn in work.--Use your cell phone to take a picture of your child's completed work and email to me. This includes Superkids work book pages, and math work book pages. Students will also be doing work on notebook paper for spelling, social studies, science, and math (text book pages). However, I will be flexible if you have an alternative way of getting your child's completed assignments to me. I have added google classrooms for each subject you will need to use the class codes listed below to access materials for each subject (when assigned) . This will help students stay organized. Make sure your child begins each morning answering the daily question. We are still in the learning process of online learning. Thank you all for your patience and flexibility as we adjust into these new norms! ***ALL WORK FOR THIS WEEK IS DUE SUNDAY, March 29th by 8:00PM*** Google classroom codes: social studies ihct57t science fj73sud spelling tp6yzg7 math aossvgi language arts n43rjej Monday 3/23: Superkids/Reading- read, "Persuasion," pages 114-115. Use the google tab to login and you'll need to click "allow" in the pop up box. First Communion has been postponed. As circumstances change regarding school closure we are looking at the best ways to continue to educate your children. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Please stay safe and healthy. It was brought to my attention that there is not a section for practicing multiples of 2's, 5's or 10's on their own. Apologies for my oversight. I am going to change up the Math curriculum for the rest of the week. Starting today please have your child work through the Money portion on IXL.
Good morning!
Remember to login into google classroom today and have your child answer the daily question. For those of you who need help with google classroom if you go to Mr. Dimsey's blog you can access his instructional video on how to use google classroom. Students now can go onto California Studies Weekly and read their weekly, answer questions, and take their weekly tests. Remember students you can earn points for your rat cage. Students are permitted to go back to read past weekly articles and answer questions to earn points (it's a good opportunity to review what we've learned). However, please do not have your child work ahead. We are on Week 26, Capitals or Capitol Building. The login in for your child is their google account login in. Example: username: Firstname.Lastname.@olmlancers.com password: ABCD1234 **All students passwords are the same.** Please email me with any questions you may have. Thank you for your patience as we navigate through this new way of learning. Keep safe and stay healthy! I will be posting later with an update on First Holy Communion. Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you all got the chance to get outside and enjoy the sunshine today:) I will have google classroom up and running by tomorrow morning. Your child will be sent an email inviting them to join google classroom. Their email and password was printed on a strip of paper and tapped to their planners on Friday. I will have a daily question that your child will need to answer. I will be using this as daily attendance.
In regards to IXL it is extremely important that all 2nd graders are actively using IXL for math and language arts. Your child is very familiar with how to maneuver the site. We are in this together, and we will get through this together!! Remember to check my blog daily and starting tomorrow have your child check in through google classroom.
