Hi Families,

It was nice to see so many of you at Mass today!  It was a full house!  I always feel so good walking into church.  Believe me it's wonderful taking the children and I love it but sometimes I like to lose myself in it, like I did today.

We are starting a new theme:  Construction Zone!  This theme is so much fun, the children will learn without even realizing it!  We're going to start with constructing crosses.  Mrs. Veronica's class does a beautiful cross out of wood and I don't want to take her idea, so, I think we'll be making ours out of sticks we find on the playground and tying them together.  The tying might be tricky so wish us luck!  If this doesn't work out there is always plan B where the children will make a cross using oil paints or  plan C a cross using painters tape!  Nothing in preschool is ever written in stone, you have to be flexible and know what else you can do that works and holds their interest!  All I can say is that we will all do our best!

Second Step Week 21 - Inviting to play.  This is going to be great for us because we have had children who turn other children away when they ask to play. I tell them it's not OK.  If they want to play by themselves that's fine, everyone has times when they want to be alone.  When you're playing with someone else, the more the merrier and everyone is welcome to join in.  After all...WWJD?

I am so looking forward to sitting down with you this week!  The second assessments I did were put into sections with the first assessment with a graph so you will be able to see exactly what your child needs help in and where they are doing fine.  It's very informative and exciting!  I can't wait to share it with you!  There are still spots available for conferences so if you haven't done so please sign up.
