Good morning Everyone,

Will you please do me a favor and leave a comment on my blog?  I need to know who is able to access it and who isn't.  Thank you.  Yesterday I decided I have had enough time off of work and was ready to go back.  I had dreams all night about school!  I miss your children and my coworkers!  I did get out of the house to go on a hunt for toilet paper and had no luck.  I know this is weird but  if anyone knows who has some I'd appreciate you sharing your knowledge with me.  I am more afraid of running out of toilet paper than the virus itself!

Let's go wash our hands, sign in and begin our day.  We're going to say the Lord's prayer this morning.
Close your eyes and hold Jesus' hands.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...Amen

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

Amen

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...Amen

Flag salute

Today we are on day three of our Second Step working on skill practice activity #1.  Play dough ideas!  Have the children play with the play dough and every few minutes, introduce a new item (cars, rolling pins, utensils, assorted small toys) and talk to the children about how it could be used with the play dough.  Encourage them to think up as many ideas as they can and then count their ideas.  Next have the children make the letters Rr and Yy out of playdough.  What can they find around the house that starts with these letters?  Time to wash hands again!

Let's color and cut out  one page of our tools next.  What are these tools called and how would you use them?

Wow!  That was a lot of work!  Let's take a break, wash our hands and say a prayer before having a snack.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...Amen

God is good, God is great,
let us thank Him for our food
and our friends...Amen
And Jesus?  Please watch over us
and our families too...Amen

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...Amen

Remember we wash hands before and after we eat now and keep your hands away from your face...I want you all to stay healthy and feeling great!

Time for some fresh air!  Let's go outside!  I know you can all put on your coats by yourself so don't ask mom and dad for help!

Wash your hands again!  Just like at school every time we come in from outside we wash our hands.

Let's work in our workbooks now!  Pages 52 and 53 working on the letter K and then page 62 shapes.

If you are one of the families who never got the chance to pick up your child's packet, you can improvise.  As long as the children are learning, I'm happy!

Let's close our day talking about Lent and the 40 days leading to Easter.  We are waiting and doing kind deeds, for Jesus to rise on Easter Sunday.  We have been teaching the children the Stations of the Cross as gently as we can.  Please go over the stations on the coloring pages we sent home.

I just bought a book that just arrived so I haven't had the chance to read it to the children.  It's called
"The Message of the Cross"  for preschoolers.  Written by Maria T. Nagel.  It's a beautiful and gentle story of Jesus.  You might be able to look it up online, otherwise I will type up the words tomorrow.

Have a blessed day, I love and miss you all!

Miss C.

We did everything except the play dough. We still have a lot of mud so we made Rs in the mud.

Hi! Maddox and I had fun reading through the day. He especially though us doing flag salute at home was funny 🤦🏼‍♀️. We stocked up on our coloring supplies so he’s much more excited to do his “homework” with his new markers and full set of crayons.

We too were on the TP hunt! I had luck at staples and we have some to share if you need it!

Hi Miss C

Thanks for the play doh recipe.. we are going to make it tomorrow. Reagan says hi!!

I was able to get TP at the target in Atwater but had to go before it opened. You can also try Home Depot or Lowe’s but same as target, you have to go as soon as they open.

Hi Mrs. C,

I have been practicing my shapes all week. My favorite is oval. I color them green for St. Patrick's Day. My dad said we could make the play-dough this weekend. I miss school.
