Just a reminder that today is the last day for online orders for the See's Candy preschool fundraiser!
I was blessed with a small book that's called "Closer to God" Daily reflections on the Lenten Readings for Mass. I thought I would share them with you since we can't go to Mass for now.
Breaking the power of death.....Is 65:17-21 / Jn 4:43-54
Behold, God is doing a new, new thing, new things in the world, new things for you, to grant you a new beginning free of what has been old and tired and angry and broken. Forgetting what is old, watching for what is new, that is what faithful people do. Jesus' points out what everyone could see. Everyone noticed that where Jesus was present, old patterns of hurt and guilt and despair and injustice were broken. Wherever Jesus went, the power for death was broken and new life became possible. For some, that was a threat because they did not want to change. For others, it was the best news they ever had, because the power of death no longer could control their lives.
What "new thing" is God doing in me and my life this Lent?
