8th Graders - I hope everyone had a Thanksgiving full of Joy and Blessings.  As we think about what to do during Advent to PREPARE, let us keep the people who were caught in the California fires and other disasters in our prayers and hearts as we look for ways to help them.

Calendar: 
Monday, November 26: 
Tonight please say a special prayer for Mrs. Elam, who today, on her birthday, is having knee replacement surgery.
Tuesday, November 27:  2nd graders' First Penance Service - remember yours and keep them in your prayers.
Wednesday, November 28:  
Thursday, November 29: 
9:15-11:45 Nutcracker Ballet at Buhach Colony; 4pm "A" Team Basketball at OLM 
Friday, November 30: 
Saturday, December 1:   
3pm Christmas Parade Downtown - come join Student Council
Sunday, December 2:  1:30 pm OLM Choir sings at Courthouse for Christmas Tree celebration        [you can earn extra credit by attending ] - come get in the Advent spirit and ENJOY!!]

11/28: Thank you to the parents who adjusted to drive  - we can ALL go !!!
11/27: Tonight PLEASE ask your parents if anybody would be able to adjust schedules to drive for the Nutcracker on Thursday.  We will leave OLM at 9:15 and return by about 11:45.  We are short 12 seats.  Thank you!!
11/26: What do I want you to do tonight - did you read the calendar?  PLEASE DO!  And what can earn you extra credit? Please turn in PROGRESS REPORTS - 27 missing!
​Religion:  
11/28: Play lines - memorize, work on your power points for your saint presentation


U.S. History:
11/27: Read pages 100-103 and chart Middle Colonies in column 3 and Southern Colonies in column 4.  Be sure to describe the New England Way in the Life category.
11/26: Should have completed class notes for pages 85-89 from Text.  Read pgs. 92-97 - create 4 column CHART [tonight you are only filling out column 1 & 2 - see below 7G Assignments]: Who: name of group and country of origin; When: they arrived in America: Why: they came to America; Where: they established themselves by current day locations; What: they used to govern/rule themselves here; How: they lived.

Physical Science: 
11/28: Read and Cornell Note Ch 3 S 1: States of matter - due Friday.  Science Log with research evidence due Friday - Wed Lab group will review this tomorrow.
11/26: be prepared to show me evidence of science fair project research
Algebra:
11/28: p.72 #1-30 all

7 Life Science:

11/28: Write the definitions for Ch2 vocabulary; review them and notes: main idea and details for: 6 characteristics of living organisms  4 necessities of life, 6 types of organisms and examples, 6 elements in all living organisms, 3 main nutrients in foods and what they do for our body and examples of what you can eat to obtain them.

7 World History:
11/28: Memorize European Countries #41-49 - NOT 45 - for quiz Friday; test on all European countries  #1-49 except 45 next Thursday 12/6.
