Week of August 7th
Welcome to Our Lady of Mercy School's 90th Year!!!
I hope all of the students were able to rest and recharge over the summer. I enjoyed seeing some of you last week at Back to School Night. The evening really got me excited about starting a new year. Those who attended received a packet of information. I have packets to send home with those who were unable to attend and I also put the packet on this blog in the previous post.
I had a couple parents ask me about our snack/lunch procedure in class. We eat our snack at 10:00 on the playground. We all sit on the bricks while we are eating and drinking. School milk is no longer an option for morning snack. If you send milk with your child in their lunch box they may drink it at snack. Our class goes to lunch at 11:35. Every morning your child will let me know if they are having hot or cold lunch and if they would like to have milk. At the beginning of the year many of the students check their backpacks to see if they are having hot/cold lunch because they don't remember by the time they get to school...that is fine...this is all part of becoming independent and responsible.
