This week is conference week.  If you could please have a few goals ready for conferences that would be great. We will discuss goals for the school year.   Not all goals need to be academic. Thank you

The book fair will also be going on from 8-4 pm.  We had a pre-visit today. Your child chose a couple of books for the wish list.  They do not need to purchase.  If  you would like they may go during recess.  Please be sure to add the tax if you do choose to send money with  your child.

This week we will be using the chrome books on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  We have been able to log into think central which is our reading and math program.  I am suggesting that the students read the story aloud on the computer and follow along in their reader for homework.  The story this week is Lesson 12, Tops and Bottoms.  The students seem to enjoy being able to use the chrome books.

Vocabulary words for the story are given each week.  Please be sure to study these with your child.  We will be making flash cards tomorrow to help with studying at home.

English - Capitalization and Punctuation
Writing - Persuasive letter
Social Studies - Settlers
Religion - Our Blessed Mother Mary
Spelling - Homophones
Practice using the words in sentences to help your child better understand the meaning.  I will give the students the word and a sentence for the test on Friday.

We have officially tried to log into your child's google account along with our Think Central which is our new Journey's reading program.  I have asked all students to write down their passwords along with usernames.  Please try to log onto our think central by typing in the following web address and then following the steps to log in.  Once your child is logged in please see if you are able to find leveled readers.  We will practice again in class tomorrow.  My hope is that everyone will be able to access their account by Friday.   This is a trial run for us so it should get better.  Thank you for your patience.
