Religion- I've attached a link to a prayer to Mother Mary for protection in time of pandemic. Please say the prayer today and everyday. Remember to pray for all those who are battling the Coronavirus, that they may be healed and given peace. Language Arts- Since Mondays would normally be our Library day, I would like you to reread any Chapter from "The Indian in the Cupboard" that you may skipped, or read too quickly, or need a better understanding of the main events. We will be going over the book tomorrow during our Zoom meeting. Make sure you are reading silently for 30 mins. Study the Vocab words from last week. Test will be on Thurs April 2nd. Spelling- Retype each Spelling word 3 times Create spelling sentences using this week's spelling words. Assignment in Google classroom under English. I would like you to use IXL for Language Arts. Work for 20 mins on the skills I have starred and listed: Reading Strategies A. Main Idea #1 Grammar and Mechanics II. Nouns #1 Social Studies- Please use the link https://www.studiesweekly.com/ Login using your google email and password username: [email protected] and password: ABCD1234 We are in week 29 "Transcontinental Railroad." Please read Theordore Judah's Dream, The Railway Acts, Pushing Judah Out, and The Company Grows. You can silently read it on your own, read aloud, or listen to the reader. I encourage you to watch all the videos, just like we do in class!! Click on anything to help you have a better understanding. Science- Start lesson 3 "How Has Earth's Surface Changed?" Read pages B22 and B23. Make sure you are able to answer the bold faced questions at the end of the page. Look at all illustrations, pictures, and read all the captions. Pay close attention to the illustrations on Continental Drift. TUESDAY 3/31 Religion- Saints of the 2020 Lenten Season is posted in google classroom. Please say the Prayer to End Pandemics I posted yesterday, and the Lenten prayer below: Jesus, I want to be a better friend, to you and to others in my life. Everyday during Lent, help me to remember how you always wanted everyone to be your friend. And how you always wanted each person you met to be a better and more loving person. Help me to be like you, and to love others by being kind, respectful, and helpful in whatever ways I can. Amen Math- IXL. Please complete the diagnostics if you have not finished. If you have finished the diagnostics, click on "Recommendations" for Math. Please work for 20 mins. Language Arts- Zoom meeting was changed to 1pm. We will be reviewing Chapters 1-8 of "The Indian in the Cupboard." Please be ready with a piece of paper and a pen. Grammar- Continue working on the skills I listed yesterday and the new one listed below. Grammar & Mechanics II. Nouns #2 Writing- Assignment has been created for you in google classroom under Writing class. Please finish any previous writing assignments you have not turned in. Social Studies- Finish reading week 29. Watch all the videos and click/read whatever you choose. Type out the answers to the Crossword puzzle in google classroom. Doc has been created for you. Science- Finish lesson 3, read B24 and B25 and answer the Review questions pg B25 #1-5 on a separate sheet of paper. You can use a scanner or app to upload in google classroom in Science class. Just click "+ Add or Create" and select the document to upload. P.E.- Get outside and stretch. Do some jumping jacks and push ups. End with a lap or 2 around your back yard. WEDNESDAY 4/1 Religion- Question of the Day in google Classroom under Religion class. Math IXL- Please finish your Diagnostics!! If you have already finished, great job!! Practice any of the previous skills I've listed or click on "Recommendations." Please practice for 20 mins. Language Arts- 11am meeting on Zoom. We are going to continue where we left off yesterday. Try to review as many chapters as we can. Vocabulary- Study Vocab #4 that I have returned and graded in google Classroom under English. Test will be on Thurs. Please get off the computer and silent read for 20 mins, book of your choice! Social Studies- Complete the crossword puzzle if you have not turned it in. Answer the Think & Review questions in google classroom, doc has been created. Due anytime on Friday. Science- Finish the questions on B25 if you have not turned them in. Study your Vocab cards from the beginning of the chapter. Email or upload the written work in google Classroom, whichever you prefer. You can also use the assignment titled "Week 3 Assignments" under classwork in Science to attach the scanned or pictures of their work. THURSDAY 4/2 Religion- Lenten Reflection Day 30 in google classroom Math- IXL please finish your Diagnostics!! I have sent out emails to those students who need to complete their Diagnostics. Go back and click on any videos, questions, or games to get a better understanding of this weeks lesson. Science- Complete WB 87 in google classroom FRIDAY 4/3 Happy fun Friday!! Try to take lots of brain breaks today, go outside, and put on some music like we do in class and have a dance party. You deserve it!! You've done a great job this week!! Religion- To prepare for Holy Week, please watch the Stations of the Cross video below just as we would do every Friday in school. This is for you to use to study for the whole book Reading test on Monday Grammar- Finish any skills listed this week on IXL. Silent read a book of your choice for 30 mins. Please make sure you do this. It's good to get off the computer and silent read everyday if you can. Social Studies- Take the test for Week 29. Try your best to answer the questions correctly. I know this is our first time taking it online, so I'm not sure if you can go back and use the readings like we do in class, but hopefully you can. Don't stress, just trying it out to see how you guys do :). Science- WB 88 in google classroom. Very important- Look at any work that you have missing and turn it in! I know it's hard to keep up sometimes when we're at home, so use Friday to catch up. Have a great weekend!!
