Dear Pre-K Families,
It is a very busy time. We have been very busy in the classroom. Our dramatic play area has been transformed into an apple orchard. The children have been having a lot of fun playing there and also playing with the apple scented play dough. We have been having fun on 'fun Friday' we did some apple tasting and also created a jungle when we were learning about the letter Jj. I am finishing up assessments in preparation of upcoming parent teacher conferences. If you have not already signed up, please check your email from Mrs. Mary to sign up.
We are in our theme 'Our Community'. This week we will learn about people we meet. We will be talking about community jobs. We have been working on one alphabet letter per day. This week we will learn about Kk, Ll, Mm, Nn & Oo.
Monday, we will be learning about fire safety. It is also wear pink day for our school to support breast cancer awareness.
Tuesday, we will be making a chalk rosary in the back circle of the school with our 5th grade reading buddies. This will be our tenth year continuing with this tradition. Please have your child wear a warm coat as is may be cool outside in the morning.
Wednesday, please arrive on time, as we will be going to the back circle to pray around the rosary. Parents are invited if you would like to attend. October is the month of the rosary and we have been learning about how to pray the rosary. Again, please have your child wear warm clothes and a jacket as it may be cold. We will also have a visit from the fire department and they will be teaching the children fire safety.
